If travelling from Leominster, from SPAR convenience store on the corner junction of Dishley Street (B4361) and Bargates (A44), head along the A44 passing the Morrisons Supermarket. Cross the roundabout at the second exit. At the Barons Cross junction (pub on left), follow the fork to the left after the pub – following the signs for Rhayader (A44)/Brecon (A438).

After a short time continue onto the A4112, following the sign for Brecon (A438). Continue for around 9.5 miles until you come to a T-junction, turn left onto the A4111 – following the signs for Hay-on-Wye/Whitney, then after just half a mile take the first right onto the A438.

Continue ahead, passing through Whitney-on-Wye, Bronydd, Clyro. Before long you will see a signpost pointing you right in the direction of Glasbury, follow this sign. If you have crossed the bridge across the River Wye, you have gone too far!! Following the sign, follow through the village for around a mile. As you see the Maesllwch Arms pub on the right hand side of the road, keep going. After passing a small church on the right, you will see a Red Phonebox, follow the signpost for Ffynnon Gynydd. Head along the leafy lane over the cattle-grid and up the hill, at the top of the hill, Ty Carreg is the third driveway on the left. Keep your eyes peeled for our slate sign.
